ACCESS

People with Limited Mobility
There is a bell on the railings to call for assistance, with a portable ramp providing access to the ground floor. The multi-purpose studio and the café are fully accessible by wheelchair.

There is a lift which serves the building, from the basement to the third floor. There is a wheelchair, sized to fit the lift (unfortunately it is too small to accommodate a standard sized wheelchair) available for use and a walking frame is also available. however the Club has a smaller wheelchair which will fit into the lift.

Toilets for people with limited mobility are in the basement.

The IT studio has a choice of computer mouse (joystick, tracker ball, etc.) and access software for people with particular needs. There is an ergonomic chair with lumbar support for users with back problems.

People who are Deaf or Hearing Impaired

Two key staff members are proficient sign language users. The Club has good quality hearing loop systems.

People who are Blind or Visually Impaired
Training rooms and member areas are well-lit and additional lights are available for use in training rooms. Trainers have access to a photocopier which enlarges for teaching material preparation and tape recorders are available free of charge to record lessons.

The guide is available in large print and audio versions. There is a 'talking lift' with tactile buttons.
